An Introduction To Our School.

As you look through our website pages we hope that you will discover what is on offer at Fawley Infant School.

We are a small school at present 74 on roll and the staff and children all know each other. No one is anonymous!! There are many advantages for the children in a school of this size.

For example:

The large and varied outdoor area which the children use daily. It is here that they play, make friends (and sometimes fall out with them), eat their lunch (when the weather is fine), and LEARN!!

We aim to offer an educational learning environment which is child centred and will lead to lively enquiring minds, a love of learning and the ability to question and argue rationally. It is our job to ensure that by the time the children move on from Fawley Infant School they are able to think for themselves… we hope to prepare the children to take their place in an ever-changing world.
We work very closely with home and the wider community to improve our standards, celebrate achievement and raise the children’s hopes for themselves.
We already provide a rich and varied environment in which all children are encouraged to gain confidence through their own achievements and thereby fulfil their own potential and we strive to improve this continually. Part of our school improvement plan this year is to develop an outdoor environmental area. This follows our work on recycling and caring for our world.
At Fawley we consider the education of children to be a shared responsibility between home and school and we look forward to working with you in an atmosphere of cooperation and goodwill.
